I swear I'm not a shill for this company or anything, but I can't understand why this navigation app isn't mentioned more in discussions of iphone turn-by-turn options.
I like Waze too in terms of cheap/free apps, but IMO this has a much pretty/cleaner interface, better voice directions, AND you can download to your phone the entire map of north america for like 4 bucks more (or other continents too), so you can use it even in places with no data. It also has really nice music integration. So basically for five dollars total, with no further subscription fees, you get pretty much everything you'd get in a way more expensive product.
I guess the only negative is that it uses OpenStreetMap data, which is an open source project. I think it is still spotty in many countries, but the U.S. map seems to be complete and functional.
In a sense, I suppose I'm invested in promoting it because I want enough people to use it so it continues to be developed.
