iPhone 17 color rumors continue to surface. The latest word is that Apple plans to expand the MacBook Air's new Sky Blue finish to the rumored iPhone 17 Air later this year, according to a leaker known as Majin Bu.

iPhone 17 Air's rumored color options

Majin Bu initially claimed that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models would be available in Sky Blue, but today they said that Apple has ultimately decided to limit the color option to the rumored ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air.

iPhone 17 Pro models could still be available in a darker blue shade, according to a separate rumor. An image of alleged camera lens covers for the iPhone 17 Pro models suggests that Apple might reintroduce the Blue Titanium color that it offered for the iPhone 15 Pro models, after skipping that finish for the iPhone 16 Pro models.

iPhone 16 Pro models are available in four colors: Desert Titanium, Natural Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium.

As for the iPhone 17 Air, other rumored color options besides Sky Blue include Black, Silver, and Gold, according to Majin Bu. The leaker was most recently accurate about iPadOS 26 adding a Mac-like menu bar to iPads, but they were seemingly wrong about iOS 26 expanding the iPad's Stage Manager feature to iPhones.

This line up is making so much more sense with the MacBook lineup. The rumored regular MacBook will be like the regular iPhone with fun colors and stuff. Then the Air lineup (with the same sky blue and color scheme), then the pro lineup and colors. Seems to make sense and match up with the other rumors of the staggered phone launch starting next year if true as the MacBook lineup is staggered in the year.

Pro Models probably will have the same color options as the MacBook Pro + a gold... all the other options are for the other phones..

This year the focus is on the Air..

Is Apple trying to save money on pigment? Seriously, why is every color so desaturated? This was the company that gave us the iMac of the 90s, with bright, vibrant colors, much like the iPod nanos above. Give me a BRIGHT RED iPhone Pro Max or hell, that blue that Samsung just dropped for the Fold 7 is hot, give me COLOR, not a glimpse of color.

FINALLY! SOME COHESION TO THE LINEUP!

Sorry, it excites me a bit.

It makes great logical sense, and is very satisfying, to see at least the colors of the product lines match up (iMac/iPhone/low-cost MacBook/base iPad/AW, MacBook Air/iPhone Air/iPad Air/AW, MacBook Pro/iPhone Pro/iPad Pro/AW stainless steel or Ultra) in a way that they really haven't since 2015-2017, or I suppose even way back in the tail-end 90s-early 2000s (albeit I don't remember that era first-hand).

Now for the feature lineups to be as congruent...
