iPod touch Skype and 5GHz WIFI ... work awful

Hi all,

I'm new of the forum. I have searched by this issue but I do not found any other with the problem.

First of all the network configuration:
- Airport Exreme 001 create the network (but is quite far away and there are some huge wall between the two Airport Exreme).
- Airport Exreme 002 expand the network (with a very good overlap)

Q1) I cannot find the way to expand both network create by Airport Extreme 001 (the 2.4 and 5 GHz). Is it possible or i have to by the 3rd AP ?

Q2) If i set the Airport Exreme 002 to expand the 5GHz network all looks fine. When I try to use skype is a disaster ! (really all time critical apps fall). Otherwise if I extend the 2.4GHz network oll works fine.

So ... someone is using Skype (in iPod Touch) in 5Ghz network ? Does it Work fine ?

The iPod Touch only supports WiFi 802.11n in the 2.4GHz frequency.

2.4GHz = longer range, but sllower speed
5.0GHz = shorter range, but higher speed

So if you are having reception problems, set 2.4GHz. And probably change your wifi antenna channel.
