Im wondering if this will work, so if anyone has any experiance of this then it would be of a great help.

I'm trying to reduce our monthly phone bill and thought ouf using skype through my 2009 24" imac.

What i'd like to be able to do is dial someone from the imac and talk to them using a bluetooth headset. However I dont want to have to sit infront of the imac when talking.

I want to be able to either sit on the sofa or even walk around the house still talking. So will I be able to achieve this ?

Bluetooth has a range of about 30 feet.

Practically speaking, less than 30 ft (like most wireless technology, it depends on the environment). I've usually found past about 15 ft I get interference that may or may not make it difficult for the person on the other end to hear me. Past 20 ft, I usually get too much crackling to hear them. Depends on where you are, how many walls and other electronic devices are in between you and the computer as well.
