I have heard nothing of a Skype application in the works, it will be popular if one actually comes out but until then there is no word of one being made?

Exactly, not an "official" Skype application.

I personally hate how IM+ is formatted. I would love to see how a real Skype app is laid out.

Skype admitted as CES that they are working on an iPhone app, but the official announcement is yet to come. Some are speculating that that announcement will come at CTIA this week.

Pretty much covers the limitations one would expect - only works over WiFi, and some other feature limitations that are available on the desktop clients.

That's too bad - because I'm not using 1/6th of my 6GB a month right now!

Here is a question though, does anyone remember that proposed app that would automatically transfer cellular calls to Wi-Fi. So you get a phone call and a bubble pops up and asks you if you want to transfer it to voip. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

There's a program *IF YOU JAILBREAK* Which fools the phone to make him believe you are on WI-FI, It's called Voip over 3g I think. Search for it. I have used the Fring Skype with celullar data with that program
