Skype connection with Iphone

I've been using skype more and more on my iphone and it seems that when my phone is locked and in sleep mode I get disconnected from skype. Is there an app that would keep skype always connected so I can receive calls and texts w/o signing in every 20 min?

That only works when a call is active. I would imagine to keep skype active during no call situations you would need to prevent the phone from sleeping.

If you are Jailbroken, you can use Backgrounder to keep Skype Running even when the phone is locked.

Note that this will keep the iphone from going into low power mode, draining your battery considerably more.
