Hey, in a little bit, one of my family relatives is going to get a Powerbook from Mac. I understand it is about 5 years old. She wants to put Skype on it and asked me if it will work, I'm not sure. Does anyone know if it will work? The details are that it is a Powerbook Mac and runs on the OS X 10.4 with a 500 megasearch?? power pc g3:apple:
I don't know much about it, so if you can help, please do:p

The system requirements for Skype are clearly stated on their download page.

It says you need a 800Mkz PowerPC G4 or faster. You only have a 500MHz PowerPC G3. So you don't meet the requirements.

You never know, it might work, but there is certainly no reason to expect it to.

Thanks
