Skype&Matlab issues with OS X 10.5.8

Hi there,

I don't know why, but these two programs fail to open once every couple of days, and I actually need to reinstall them to get them open. When I try to open them, they just bounce up and down, and disappear and thats it! No error or anything!

What's wrong?

sorry to say, I doubt you'll get a response dealing with MATLAB on this forum. plus, numerous other forums state that MATLAB is too slow in OSX which is why they opt for the windows version. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Just a suggestion. Have you made sure that you have the latest version of Skype for Mac?

Hi there,

Thank you all for the response.
I am not complaining about the speed, the speed is actually, from what I've seen, is faster than a Windows computer.
The problem right now is that it does not open up! When I click it, it starts bouncing up/down, and then quits, and I get the warning saying that MATLAB quit unexpectedly. Same thing happens for Skype. The only to fix them is to reinstall them.
And yes, I have the latest version of both software!
