Skype on a G4 iMac - help !

OS X 10.4.11

So fat typing messages works a treat but video doesn't.

A working Macally webcam is attached via a usb2 powered hub.

Not sure how to get sound working and also the video option is grayed out.

Any thoughts very welcome !
