Skype is gearing up to release SDKs for Linux (already in Beta), Windows and Mac, to allow developers to add audio and/or visual calling to any application and to embedded devices.

Apps will need to be checked over by Skype before release, to make sure all is okay.
I would love Skype video-compatible calling in every device I own.
