So.. Did anyone try videocalling on the iPhone 3G,
or is this new feature it iPhone 3GS/4 only? :(

You would need a front facing camera for video calls.
And only the i4 and new iPod touch has them.

When I tried it on my i4 the software let me switch between the front and rear camera.

It's possible you can run it on a 3GS and just use the rear camera. Of course, it's equally possible they only allow that software to run on the i4. Dunno...anyone here try it?

Interesting. I wonder if they enabled it for older devices too.
But videocalling without a front camera it's not really the same.

Video calling is only enabled on the 3Gs and iPhone 4, as well as the new iPod touch and iPad. iPhone 3G is not supported, unfortunately.
