Hello,

I am running Leopard on my MacBook and my network here has a proxy. In order to get Skype to work with the proxy here I have been running a program, Authoxy. Skype has been functioning just fine until i got a wireless router.

I am now using Netgear Wireless Router WGR614, and all of my programs work just fine with no problems, except for Skype. When I try to start Skype it just says "connecting" in the bottom corner for about five minutes, and then changes to "offline." I tried port forwarding. Authoxy is using port 3130, which is what Skype was also using. I tried to set up a TCP/UDP forward using port 3130 and the IP address of my router. That didn't work. I also tried using a different port number for Skype, and it still didn't work.

Does anyone know how to get Skype to work with this router and a proxy? Any sort of help would be much appreciated!
