The reason I waited for the iPad 2 was for the webcam for skype. Is there any hope for an actually iPad-oriented skype app, or are we stuck running the iPhone version on the iPad forever?

Stuck with the iPhone one for now unfortunately. I've heard the people at Skype are notorious for their slow to act mentality.

I guess for now I'm just happy that the iPhone app works

Skype is one of the most backwards companies when it comes to innovation. Don't hold your breath.

At least the iPhone app works. It's not awesome, but I still enjoy being able to use it on the iPad.
