ANY help would be appreciated!! I have the latest MacBook Pro Retina and I have windows 7 bootcamp installed. My problem is that when I play sky rim on bootcamp, no matter what I do, the console won't open... I have added the bAllowConsole=1 on the skyrim.ini and i have switched the keyboard to US APPLE INTERNATIONAL.. I don't know what else to do.. Please help:confused:

For some reason, the tilde key (default key for most consoles) just isn't recognized with Apple keyboards under Windows. I can't figure out why, and everything I've tried hasn't worked.

I use an Apple wireless keyboard with my Mac Pro, and of course the tilde key isn't recognized at all. So, any time I'm playing Skyrim and want to open the console, I've got to hook up an old (non-Apple) USB keyboard and push the tilde key, which of course works.

I really hope that someone here on the forums can chime in and offer some useful advice! It'd be nice to not have to plug in another keyboard any time I want to use the tilde key.

Sorry this isn't very helpful, but you're definitely not the only one with this issue!

Good Luck!

It's a shot in the dark and you've probably already tried this but just in case, have you tried pressing the fn key + tilde to see if that works?

Trust me, I've tried that. Back when I first started searching the web to try and find a fix, that was one of the first methods that I tried. Its definitely strange that it seems to work so well for others, yet nothing seems to work for me.

It isn't a huge issue with me, since I can work around it by using a different keyboard--and I really don't use that particular key, save for opening in-game consoles every now and then. It's just kind of inconvenient to have to attach an additional keyboard rather than just using the one I'm already on.

It's a strange little bug, that's for sure!
