Has anyone yet played skyrim on their new rmbp and how well does it run. Also, what is the config of your rmbp as well as wht fps is it pumping out? Thanks
..and yes lol I've seen the video of it however a bigger database is always better.

Already threads on this, and people have claimed it'll run ultra settings smoothly (30-50fps) at 1920x1200
 
Did this really need another thread after the hundreds before it, in addition to the videos on youtube?

I doubt that there's much of a gaming performance difference between the 2.3 and 2.6Ghz models. Both have the same graphics processor and the same amount of video memory.

In Windows via Boot Camp? I'm just wondering. Don't need AA at that resolution. Is FXAA off too? Even if it's smoother at a lower res (1440x900 being best for the fixed pixel res) I think the retina res might be worth it if it maintains 30fps.

What do you even care?

To the OP: as far as I know there's no Mac version, so yes bootcamp is best. The CPU wouldn't make much difference. There's a high quality textures pack you can download for Skyrim (it's on Steam) too. I saw my cousin playing with the textures pack on the rMBP (his is the base model), at 1920x1200, very smooth.
 
Having trouble with Skyrim

Was OK first couple of times I played it - today it's bluescreening after a few seconds wandering around, sometimes with a screen blank and audio stutter first, sometimes no warning. Very frustrating!

rMBP - 2.6/8gb/512gb - Win 7 Pro 64bit
 
Here we go again. This will just lead to people who expect desktop gaming performance bitching about how the rmbp can't deliver that.

OP there are other threads you should check for an answer.
