SL 10.6: Dock Icon won't change despite other icons being changed

So I was able to change the Dashboard icon in every aspect. I went to move it to my dock and it was the original icon and i have restarted my comp, dragged the icon out and put in the new one countless times but it still stays as the orignal icon. Any suggestions?
