My battery icon has been showing me:" service battery" since yesterday. I did SMC and PRAM reset but no use. I restarted my macbookpro just now and the battery icon shows:" condition normal".
I know some people got the service battery problem but mine seems to be weird.
Any idea about what is happening?
Thanks

Thanks for your reply. I did the battery calibration 2 times but It still didn't work and just suddenly It worked. I think that is really weird. Is it a hardware issue or a software issue?

Both. The SMC chip (hardware) was reporting incorrect information to Mac OS X (software).
