well today i finally received my copy of snow leopard in the post
decided to do a clean install on my umbp and it only took about 25minutes
after the install the first boot up was a little bit slow but not much but that is expected after a fresh install, after i did my time machine backup i could instantly see a great difference in speed and overall use of the os, everything works faster, runs smoother and just performs better, i have never upgraded a mac os before but this is one i will not regret and not yet to fin anything wrong with my normal use of the machine
