Hi All,

I bought a mid 2009 Mini from the net which included the original SL DVDs, it come with Lion installed and pre-installed with Aperture 3, Final Cut Pro X, Motion, Remote Desktop, iWork 09. I don't have access to these apps to re-install if I want to in the future.

I have a few questions, if I have made a Time Machine of the Mini, can it be restored to the same condition I received it as? If so how do I go about that if the install disks are SL and not Lion? I basically want "to cut my teeth" as they say and play with SL, do an OS upgrade, install Lion Server (for fun) but have the Lion and the pre-installed apps to fall back on if it all goes pear shaped.

I have created a partition on the drive and installed SL on that and then copied & pasted the above apps onto the new partition, the apps run fine, but I want to know if they are run locally of does the OS look in to the the Lion partition and run the apps from there?

Does that make sense? I think I've even confused myself.
