When i start up withe the SL install dvd, it cannot see my G.Skill 256GB SSD. Under System Profile it can detect the SSD but when I go into Disc Utility it is gone. When I clicked "Install" and it asks me to pick a destination there is nothing to choose from. Does anyone encounter similar problems?

Are you sure the SSD has a GUID partition map? I know that the APL partition map can sometimes be selected by default when you install your SSD, and SL won't install on an APL disk.

I haven't had any problems with my Intel SSD so don't know what else to suggest (other than G.Skill technical support)...
