We have two Mac OS X 10.6.7 servers, and both are showing that the process slapd is constantly consuming between 20-30% CPU. In the slapd log, I have repeated entries of this:

do_syncrep2: rid=183 (4096) Content Sync Refresh Required

Then a message that the error occurred more than 500 times in a second, and the 499 were not listed.

This has been going on for more than a month. Sometimes the servers seem slow for no reason, other times, they are fine, but wonder if this slapd process is causing slowdowns?

I did a bit of searching, and there are very few results with slapd errors, but one seemed to match, but the discussion got very technical and was above my head.

Ideas?

Thank you.
