How amazing would a darker iphone 6 look? Was disappointed when there wasn't another option for black like there is for white.

I'd have preferred darker, but like all iPhones I've had, I'm slapping a case on it anyway. After day 1, I probably won't see the back until I go to sell it in a couple years after the iPhone 7 comes out.

Yep me. Silver and space grey are too close to warrant separate colours in a 3 colour only range.

But Apple will have done their sampling and tossed that in with their design philosophy and this is the end result.

Slate grey (like in the 5S sort of) would look much better than the iPhone 6 generation of "space grey." I think maybe it is to reduce the visibility of scratches even more perhaps?

I agree. Based on the photos the space grey of the 6 looks lighter than that of the 5s  will have to check it out in store

Yes, slate was wonderful when they had it but Apple is unlikely to go back to it unless they use a different material because of scuffgate.

I'd love to see Space Black (found on the :apple: Watch) instead of Space Gray and it's a slightly different finish because the former is more shiny stainless steel and the latter is less shiny aluminum. Not saying the iPhone should be stainless steel but I'm simply commenting on the finish.

Lol, same.

Love this design but didn't apple have a chipping issue on the 5 with this finish? Probably why they don't make slate gray anymore.

I LOVE the look of the Space Gray iPad Air so I'm happy Apple decided to go with that exact color scheme (plus the gray antenna breaks of course)

...Then you'll see all the scratches your case made to your phone in those 2 years

Well, according to iMore black is harder to anodize and Apple moved away from it due to scuffgate.

What I don't understand is- how can aluminum framed firearms be anodized per military specs( Type III Hard anodizing) and it holds up very well. Apple must use a VERY thin, lower hardness, anodizing process to achieve a smoother finish.

It's too bad, the all black iPhone 5 was absolutely the best looking iPhone of them all.

The back of the white phone is also very far from white... it's not even called white. So I am confused lol.

They are "black" and "white." What are you guys talking about? (The ol' Reality Distortion Field in full effect). :apple:;):apple:
