Hello all,
After updating to the latest version of El Capitan (10.11.1) PB I have come to the realization that the screen will not wake on my external monitor after it is woken from sleep, it has done so for the past two betas. The main iMac will carry on as if there was never any device attached to it in the first place and using 'detect displays' from system preferences will not make the monitor reappear.
It seems that sometimes I am able to turn the monitor off and it will come back with the next on cycle, other times the only fix at that moment is to restart the computer... which is an absolute pain in the a**.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any one have any fix out until Apple sorts out this garbage?
EDIT: I have an Acer H236HL connected to miniDisplayPort on my iMac thru an Insignia mDP - HDMI dongle.
