Hey guys i have a 2007 macbook. over month ago I did some upgrades to it. I put in an ocz vertex 90gb ssd and 2gb of ram. For the most part it works great and speed increase is very noticeable.

The issue I am have is every once in awhile I open the macbook and I just get that spinning color wheel thing. Only thing I can do is hold the power button to restart it. Even then it takes two or three power button restarts before it gets to the apple loading screen instead of a gray screen.

Doesn't happen that often but maybe once a week and can't seem to figure out why. anyone have a clue?

I appreciate the help guys

Did you do a fresh install or clone your previous drive?

Have you disabled safe sleep? In my limited research this has sometimes been a problem. I'm still waiting for my Vertex to come so I can't really comment further.
