Someone Help Please! My 4 month old Powermac has just recently aquired a sleep problem. When I put it to sleep for an extended amount of time(8 hours or more) and try to wake it, it goes back to sleep after 10 seconds. I have reset the pram done an archive and install and repaired permissions. What could be wrong? Apple can't seem to figure it out over the phone and I don't want to take it in for service. Any Ideas?

Take it off of whatever pills you are giving it. :p

There have been reports of G5s having trouble sleeping with their fans, but this I have never heard of. Sorry to say it but you might be in for a trip to an Apple Store.

What model machine is it? (Dual 1.8/2.0/2.5)?? How much RAM?

It's a 2.0 dual with 1 g of ram. Thanx

If you did a archive and install and it still had the problem its a hardware problem, not a software problem. You probably have to take it in for service.

Could it be my USB hub??

There is only one way to find out isn't there?

I think what Chris here means is: unplug it and everything you DON'T need. Only have keyboard, monitor, and mouse plugged in. Then see what happens.
