Hello,

I've got a 15 inch g4 powerbook that's almost a year old, and lately the sleep LED has been staying on ALWAYS. When it wakes up from sleep it turns off after "breathing," but then as soon as I move the lid it cuts on. When the lid ever moves back and forth from typing, the led shorts on and off depending on the movement of the screen.

This makes me think that the lid has a loose connection at the hinge. When the lid is open, I can push the lid and hear a loud popping or clicking, almost like the lid is coming loose. Keep in mind that I'm not concerned about swiveling connector piece, but the connection between the flat screen that meets the swiveling piece at 90 degrees. if there's any confusion about what I mean, just ask and I'll try to clarify.

Can this be fixed by tightening something? or is the screen glued to the hinge piece?

I don't have applecare, but it's still under warranty---how do I get help?

Thanks!

Call apple, this is an easy fix for them. If it's under warrenty, it's a hardware issue, and it should be pretty easy to trouble shoot.
