Hiya,

I was just wondering if someone here could provide me with some sort of idea of how much power sleep mode consumes on an iBook. For example, if I left it on sleep overnight, say 10 hours, would I be 10% down...?

I've read various reports - some say that it's about 1% per hour, others say it will last for weeks or months on sleep mode.

Thanks!

It's about 5 percent with my PowerBook, but it does depend on temperature - cold temperatures can cause the battery to drain faster.

Is that 5% per hour... or per night?

I'll be getting my iBook delivered in a day or two, so am curious as to how I might use the sleep function.

Cheers!

Per night. 5% per hour would be when you are using it regularly. 5% per hour if it were sleeping might signal something's wrong with the battery.
