When I close the lid of the MBP, and it's in sleep mode, isn't it supposed to preserve the battery, the battery health is showing at 86%, but whereby I used to lose 1 or 2% after a few hours, It's leaking far more now. It was at 25% approximately 4 and a half hours ago, and now on 4%. When fully charged and it's off over night, it will lose 1 or 2 %, but in sleep mode, it's a massive difference. Any ideas what could cause this at all?

Try turning off Bluetooth if you don't use it.

Try the troubleshooting steps in this Apple support document. Also, try the tips in this article, particularly that assertions command toward the lower part of the page.
