I have a scheduled on and off time for sleep mode. I don't use the alarm. Sleep mode turns on at the scheduled start time but doesn't turn off at the scheduled end time; I need to turn it off manually every day. This has been going on since iOS 16.1, maybe earlier. Apple's solution is to stop scheduling sleep mode.

The issue is on my iPhone 13. Focus modes are not shared across devices.

Is there a a way to correct this? I'm currently using DND Focus instead of Sleep because of this. Thanks in advance!

I'm surprised this is still a bug that hasn't been fixed. It's better that Apple fix this but if you want a workaround, you can create a personal automation in the Shortcuts app to turn off Sleep focus at a certain time.

Select New Personal Automation
Select Time of Day, set your time and repeat schedule
Add Set Focus
Update to 'Turn Sleep Off'
Disable 'Ask before running' and 'Notify when run'

Thanks, gwang73! This is really helpful. Is this a bug only with ios 16.5 running on the iphone pro 13? Or does the iphone 14 have the same problem?

I think chances are the bug is with 16.5 and not device specific. I use the sleep schedule with my sleep alarm and that's working fine for me. I don't use the sleep schedule feature by itself.

I have purposefully created (and implemented) an "Awake/Available" Focus mode on all my devices. (the previous disparity between each has recently frustrated me, to no end)

I returned home, this afternoon, and did the usual Login on my desktop Monterey system . . . greeted by "Sleep Mode: On" hours earlier than I had specifically (and numerically) asserted.

Some days, it seems that my Mac/Phone/Watch are in-sync, but on others...

... I leave, here, an bligatory Kliban cartoon
