If I vary the length of my "Sleep Schedule' does it effect any of the statistics / readings
for anything ?

For example, if I extend the wake up until say midday, though wake up at 10.00, though
don't turn the "Sleep Focus" off does the 2 hours awake in sleep focus alter anything
with regards to my data ?

Obviously apart from the extended time it would measure me as "Awake"

Thanks in advance.

You can always turn the sleep focus off manually.

And even if you don't turn off sleep focus, it usually detects you are awake, and stops sleep tracking. It won't even report you as "awake", just stop sleep tracking altogether. The sleep data may not show up until after the sleep focus turns off, though.

The only thing it might affect is your wrist temperature readings. I've been having trouble getting the watch to reliably record my wrist temperature recently, and I'm not sure whether it has anything to do with my waking up before my sleep focus time is up.

there is a possibility it wouldn't affect it but...
i think it does affect the usefulness of the measurement data the watch provides in general and specifically the sleep data itself.
.
think of it this way: the reason apple requires you to set a sleep schedule in order to measure the processes during sleep is that apple thinks its useful for us to see our data during sleep vs data while we are moving about.
this matches what health professionals also want to be able to analyse: your at rest heart rate vs. yr average heart rate during the day (or during exercise). same for respiration rate. during sleep vs while you are moving around.

if you are setting the "sleep" schedule with the intention to do some daily activities during the sleep schedule.the entire value of the sleep data would become meaningless.

other than the stages of sleep, the real value of the data collected during sleep is to see how reduced your body's processes become during sleep vs when you are awake.

That's not how it works, though. I have my sleep schedule set longer than the time I actually sleep, and the sleep data is only recorded while I'm actually asleep.
