I have a few questions for all of you related to your sleep schedules:

1) When do you usually go to bed?
2) When do you usually wake up?
3) How old are you?
4) Do you have a job? Work from home? Go to school?

Me:

1) Usually 9-10PM; Past few weeks 3AM
2) Usually 4:30AM; Past few weeks 10-11AM
3) 21
4) Student with classes in the afternoon; Work from home

Sleep: 1-2 AM
Wake up: 8:30 to 9 AM
27 years old
Student.

I usually sleep around 6 1/2 hours, which really isn't enough. I just find it hard to go to sleep when I could be doing things such as post on MacRumours, Facebook, etc.

1) If I don't go out in the evening - between 11PM and 1AM. If I am at my local pub, it can get worse. ;)
2) 6:20AM to get up for work; 9AM at the weekend
3) 27
4) Got a job, yes - fixing other people's stupidi... eh, computer problems

I guess I'm a sleep nut, but I have to have at LEAST 7 hours... I can get by with 6 hours if I had 9+ hours the night before, but 7 hours is my minimum... 9 hours is when I'm at my best.

I guess it's not so much that I need that much sleep, but if I get behind my sleep something very simple happens: I don't wake up. My three (yes, three) alarms go off, but I wake up much later in the day and never remember turning them off (and usually I've missed several appointments). Very annoying...

  • Whenever I am tired, between 23:00 and 00:30. If I go out on weekends it can be later.
  • I hate alarm clocks, which I only use if there's an important early meeting or to catch a flight.
So I wake up when my body decides to :)
  • I am 38.
  • I have a job. Unfortunately, I can't work from home.

Mine's so complicated only I know it (not even my wife can remember all of it). It's basically a rotating monthly, not just weekly, schedule because of work so let's just say that it's either:

1) 11p-12a or 1a-2a
2) 6:30a or 9:30a
3) 26
4) Full-time job, 30 min commute

School, starts at 7:15

7:15?! Holy crap -- I'm only 22 so was in high school a few years ago, but ours started at like 8:15 or 8:30 (can't remember -- was probably too high; ahh high school). Anyway, that's really early...

Ok, 00:00 for all those picky people! And the reason I get that extra hour is because of this:

It's all in the chocolate :D

lol. Highness.

Oh the joys of the South African private schooling system. You know how much this sucks during winter. Luckily I'm now on holiday until next year sometime...

The high school where I teach begins at 7:15. No one is awake, nor learns anything during first period - me included. I think they are going to change the start time to 8 am next year.

I go to bed at 10 pm, get up at 5 am. I'm 44 years old.

1) bed at about 3-4am.
2) up at 11am.
3) 21
4) I'm a game designer and also do freelance graphics for other games (which I'm very busy with).

My friends are pretty much the same and my work is all done from home. This will be changing so drastically if I get my teaching job :)

1) 9:00 PM
2) 5 - 6:00 AM
3) 22
4) Full time job that drives me bonkers

Sometimes I fall asleep as soon as I get home from, but those days I pretend don't exist or tell myself I was abducted. :-D Easy way to make the week go faster.

1) bed around 10-11pm
2) up 6am dog needs to be walked
3) 38 :(
4) Microsoft technical instructor

You should leave this board. Jokes!

1: Go to bed around 11:30-12:30
2: Wake up 8:30-9:30
3. 16 years old
4. Student, but I usually work 11am-4pm

I do school at a home, and I am amazing because I teach myself Algebra :p

I go to bed usually around midnight, although I reserve the right to vary that by as much as an hour either way.

Right now, the alarm goes off at 6:30 and I get out of bed around 7 on weekdays. However, when they close the highway I take to work (St. Louisans know what I'm talking about!), then I have no concept of how long it will take me to get to work, and therefore, how early I'll have to get up.

I'm 27 years old and I work full time.
