Apple seem to have missed a trick. I wore my watch to bed last night for the first time and woke up this morning to an audible and haptic alarm. Why can we not have a haptic only alarm to allow us early risers to wake up and sneak out of bed without disturbing our significant other?

Thanks for letting reporting this. I was about to go to bed and I was going to try the native sleep tracking. But haptic only alarm required. So I’m turning off sleep and going back to AutoSleep.

That’s DND, yes? Or do I have to manually tap the bell?
You will need to still tap the bell as far as I am aware. Tapping the bed icon on the watch puts the watch in DND but it doesn’t automatically turn on the bell as well.

Some nights I forget to mute and I get the sound in the morning. I really like haptic only to wake.

Ugh! Guess I’ll need to add cinema mode in my nighttime shortcut.

I have quit setting alarm on watch. I set it on my iPhone and tell it and under sound I use none. I prefer this method as it’s just easier for me on the phone.

It allows you to set silent alarm. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have silent mode enabled full time, and only get haptic feedback. Alarm is set on my iPhone and the only type of feedback I receive on my watch is haptic. It's been this way for as long as I've worn one.

You don’t even have to turn on silent mode. You can specifically set the sleep to silent alone.

Here it is. (No alarm = no sound even though silent mode is off)

Ok y’all I think I’ve got the haptic only figured out. It doesn’t require turning on silent mode. You have set the volume to zero. Then you have to choose your vibration. I’ve had this set for two nights and I’ve only had the haptic alarm go off. I didn’t turn on silent mode. In fact I took that command out of my “Night Night” shortcut. I’m now happy the native app and I won’t be using AutoSleep anymore.
