How do you put the iPhone X to sleep? Or shut down, for that matter? Or even take screen shots?
I'm confused by this new "side button" concept.

Seriously, this is relevant to the usability of the phone, in my opinion. Did Apple not mention how to turn this thing off or put it to sleep?

For powering off, perhaps it'll be side button + volume button, as it is right now for restarting the iPhone 7. Except it might be configured where volume(+) is for powering off and volume(-) is for restarting. Maybe?

As for screenshots, I saw someone say that it'll be done by swiping your hand over the entire display.

You can always access the shut down menu under Settings -> General (scroll down to bottom). This has been there since the first iOS 11 betas. I suspect though that you can turn off the phone by holding the sleep/wake button for a longer period of time (e.g. 2 seconds for Siri and 5 seconds for power off menu).

Power down is now found in settings. Long press side button is Siri, I would assume pressing once is to lock the phone but they didn't say anything about it. Could be locking the phone is gone too, who knows.
