Does anyone here sleep walk or suffered from sleep walking before?

I'm 22 year old female and I am a good sleeper, I'm healthy (I don't drink alcohol, do drugs or smoke) with a normal life. I've never had any problems with sleep before - never suffered from sleep walking. In the last 3 months it's happened 3 times. But I tend to do weird things when it's happening

One example was a few months ago I took my duvet off and folded it up and put it inside my wardrobe, and then took all my clothes off and sat on my computer chair.

The other (which was 2 nights ago) is I was physically trying to push my desk through my bedroom wall.

I'm not too concerned as it's only been a few times, but my Mum thinks I need to see someone.

Has this (or anything similar) happened to anyone else? Should I be concerned?

Don't be concerned. It's actually very common. As long as you're not injuring yourself or damaging stuff where you live then that's okay I suppose :D

I used to sleepwalk when I was younger, and I mean when I was like 6 or something (I'm 14 now). It kinda dropped off as I got older, but it's not unusual for people to do it every night. There's nothing wrong.

Perhaps you should maybe just go to a doctor I suppose, if you're Mum's concerned. They would probably take you to a sleep specialist or something like that, or deal with it themselves. I'm not too sure because I've never been myself....

i talk and/or walk while sleeping. as its happening i know whats going on but i cannot stop myself till i kinda snap out of it. drives me nuts. unless you are in danger while going this i wouldnt be concerned. and do not take certain sleep aids! they make you physically act out more than you do now. my doctor gave me xanax instead of ambien. no ambien!

Prepare for requests for video to help diagnose your problem.

Pretty amusing behavior at least!

I'm 22 and have sleep walked a few times but never done anything other than stand around and mumble. I do talk in my sleep all the time. My girlfriend says I border on being verbally abusive. I wouldn't worry too much but you certainly could rule out a problem with a trip to the doc. I'd say no problem unless you start driving or cooking in your sleep.

My freshman year of college I was up late writing a paper and my roommate rolls over in his sleep and says, out of the darkness of his side of the room "oh you would, you would you sick biotch!" in this ridiculous voice. I told him and everyone else about it in the morning. :D

I don't think I have ever done that. It might not be a bad idea to be checked out by a doctor, just to be on the safe side.

If it were me, I would be seriously concerned if I actually did some housework while sleep-walking. (folding duvet and putting it away)

I don't do that ***** when I'm awake!!!!!

I once saw a problem on BBC One a while ago all about people's sleep problems. It was really interesting - people have some really unusual sleeping habits - like one guy who was really violent in his sleep.

Thanks for the replies!

Yeah maybe I should haveva check-up. I'm not a fan of my doctors. Last time I went, for 2 years I was wrongly diagnosed with Celiac Disease!

Hahaha
sometimes I sleepwalk and slam doors. People tell me that I sleepwalk into their rooms and stand there.

This happens to my sister if shes sleeping in a new place. Every year she goes travelling with my folks around Europe and it happens in almost every hotel, but she never does if she stays with family or at our homes. Because of that they had to plan what hotels they could stay in and the rooms always had to be on the ground floor (since she was once spotted sleep walking on the balcony).

My brother used to talk/shout in his sleep too.

It's all a bit mental here at night!
