Sleeping Disorder

New to site so I could use some advice . . . If I'm in wrong forum please excuse me/ Here's my problem . . .
My dual 867 mdd power mac is not going to sleep and when it does it goes into a coma. Usually my keyboard & mouse freeze. I've reset the PMU on the logic board and removed all usb except keyboard & mouse to eliminate any possible conflicts/ I've even reinstalled OSX . Any ideas?

Seems like hardware to me. What type if reinstallation did you do?

Reinstalled OS X (old sys saved in folder)

After reinstall of OS X & all updates removed all usb devices except keyboard and mouse (new keyboard as of Saturday). Now machine will either not go to sleep from Apple->sleep but will shut down. After restart can put to sleep but appears to be in a coma. . . I've made an appointment later today @ an Apple Genius Bar and fear the worst . . . logic board failure.
