Recently I purchased a 1.67GHZ PowerBook G4 model A1106 and when I installed the OS it kept putting itself in sleep mode. After trying software fixed and trying the method of deleting next files regarding temps, I discovered the issue was widely regarded as a bad thermal sensor. I managed to get a hold of another topcase and thought the problem was done....

Well it's back, and I don't know what else to do. It's running a fresh install of Leopard.

Did you try repasting? My TiBook did that before I repasted it since the GPU (and likely the CPU) were overheating.
