Hi,

I just got a new Macbook Pro M2 and I found a problem I cannot understand. When I work with it, I can fall asleep easily once in bed but I wake up much earlier than normal and I can't get back to sleep. Obviously after a few nights of this type, I quickly become very tired and irritable. This suggests a problem with melatonin secretion.
What I find hard to understand is that my Macbook Air 2014, my Macbook Air 2019 and my iPhone SE 2020 do not impact my sleep. However, I have tried an iPad 9 and an iPad Air 5 and they also create these sleep problems. What change in technology in Apple's new generation of displays could create these problems (and how do you fix them?). I tried to activate the "Night Shift" mode and it does not work for me.
Best,

Best,
You may want to look at what is happening overall in your life to see if you can find an answer. While some people make claims about screen color and such affecting your sleep, none of the studies have shown a strong affect, just a slight tendency at most.

Are you using your screen right up to the time you go to bed? Are you using high brightness? What are you eating and drinking? Are you getting enough exercise? When do you relax?

Start asking more questions before you settle on a cause right away.
