Hey guys, I have an old iPhone 4S AT&T 16GB that I recently decided to give to a cousin as she needs a phone but I don't think she is old enough to handle a newer iPhone so rather than let this old iPhone gather dust I figured I'd give it to her for her birthday thats coming up in a few weeks. But the problem is this iPhone is stuck in recovery mode and wont come out. I've tried everything from iTunes to attempting those stupid programs you can google that everyone says will work. I don't see a reason to pay for something that wasn't broken before I upgraded. Every time iTunes goes to fix it I get a error code 48 when it gets to the end and iTunes is saying its restoring the firmware. I'm not sure which iOS this had before iTunes tried to restore and update it to iOS 8.3 but nothing has helped in getting this thing back to normal. I've even thought about the almighty Apple NO NO and Jailbreaking it just to get it to work. This would be my cousins first smart phone as she has always had a basic phone and she is prone to losing phones and generally everything else LOL.
I've also tried updating it on two different computers, one my Macbook pro retina and the other another mac, I haven't tried doing it on a windows pc but if it doesn't work on two different computers why would a windows pc make a difference?
