I got myself a mid-2012 classic MBP 15 inch a couple of weeks ago. Should I buy a Specks satin case or a sleeve for it?

I want to protect my laptop from possible scratches. I might be taking this laptop to school regularly, probably shoved into my school bag...

But I will be buying a separate carry bag for the MBPS of course, if my school bag is too heavy

I just usually carry my MBP in a sleeve in my backpack. Sleeve looks much classier than a case, and keeps the weight down - imo.

If you do get a sleeve, I highly recommend Incase - great sleeves.

I use the Speck SeeThru case.
And for carrying outdoors, I put it in a Incase Neoprene Sleeve.

Incase sleeve can fit MBPs in hardshell case as well.

When I carry it outside, I also put it inside a backpack but most laptop compatible backpack fits them.

I decided to do sleeve this time around. :) but be extremely careful. If you're rough then you might want a hard shell.

I've noticed that Speck's material and quality is not as nice as Incase.
I've used speck products and compared to Incase it does not hold up very well. Just my two cents.
