Like the title asks, is this possible? I was kind of toying with the possible idea of using a video iPod as a source for a photo slide show to be displayed on a monitor as a digital picture frame.

I would imagine if it is possible there would be some sort of connector/adapter between the iPod and monitor

You have a couple options. You can buy a S-Video/Composite to VGA converter box online (not sure who makes them, but they're out there. Look on Newegg) and use it that way. It won't look very good as it will be 640x480, the resolution of composite.

The other alternative is to buy a monitor with an iPod dock. Viewsonic has a 20" 1440x900 widescreen one with the dock built-in, but it sounds like you aren't in the market for a new monitor.

Your only option really is to go the converter route. As far as I know there are no iPod to DVI or iPod to VGA cable out there.

Thanks, appreciate the input!
