slide show - small annoyance

I recently opened a folder with about 300 photos in it (a lot, I know!), selected all, and started the slide show. After 100 photos, the slide show didn't go to the next photo, no. 101, but went back to the beginning, no. 1, instead. Is OS X's not able to handle more than 100 photos?
