Finally I have arrived.....
What app would you recommend to show a slide show of some pictures before the presentation? Usually there are some pre-presentation period during which people get situated themselves in the seats and I am thinking about showing some slide show during that time. iPhoto can be used, I guess. But, if there are other recommendations, I would like to hear about them. The computer is hooked up with the projector.
 
iPhoto does a decent job of slide shows, about as good as your gona get for the mac. Keynote which is part of iWork also does a decent job, but i just haven't found a slideshow program for the mac that even comes close to Pro Show Gold on the pc.
 
Just fill a folder full of images and use the finder slideshow option.
ie: select all images in the folder, right-click and choose "slideshow".
