If you go to "all pictures", "all movies", or "all documents", you will see a slider in the bottom right corner that allows you to magnify the preview images when in GRID MODE. (first button)

However, I haven't seen that behavior in other folders of mine.. Is there any way to enable that?

I noticed that today. Icon view of static folders have no slider, but the Spotlight view does.

My working theory is that the SPotlight folder is a bit "newer", and uses a different nib. Like, maybe it was created later in Leopard's revision cycle. A software update could fix this?
 
Let's hope so. I find it very cool and probably even better than coverflow.
