Slideshow of photos - not using Photos.app

Hi All,

I would like a slideshow of album covers to be displayed on my AppleTV but I do not want these pictures to clog up the Photos.app and my iCloud library as these are for photos taken by my camera/iPhone only.

I have been toying with the idea of creating a notebook in Evernote (this would be my preferred choice) and put that up as a slideshow on the AppleTV. However, I cannot make the slideshow automatically flick through the images.

Does anyone know if this is possible and/or would recommend another piece of Mac/iOS software?

How about making a photo slideshow in something like iMovie? You can add transitions and maybe a soundtrack.
