OK, kind of a random question..

Do you guys know if there's an app for slideshow-type presentations? I'm a rookie.. I'll be buying my first iPad, the 2, when it goes on sale.

Also.. is there any hardware for projection? So if I had a slideshow on the iPad (or some type of presentation), where I could project that on a wall or screen?

Thanks all!

Wrong forum I suppose, but the VGA/HDMI dongle is an accessory so you're good.

You can present from Keynote (the iOS version which is $10). If you want to go iPad->Projector then this is the best option for slides.

You'll need an adapter like this: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD098ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE

There is a VGA version (for older projectors) for $10 less.

I teach with a projector every day off my iPad, but I run the projector from a Mac in the back of the class (OS X Keynote) and use Keynote Remote (the iPhone app) to control the show and access my presenter notes. Great solution, although I keep wishing for a native iPad app instead of the iPhone one.
