Slight dark smudge on iPhone 5 screen

When I scroll when something is using a white background, I notice a faint smudge in the top half (centre) of screen. Do you think this is caused by glue that hasn't set properly behind the screen or a fault?

I've tried but it's quite faint & only seems to appear whilst scrolling. Maybe my eyes are tricking me, but my iPad 3 has a similar issue near the top right of the screen..

If its on your iPad your eyes are probably playing a trick on you

I thought that, but if I flip the iPad round 180 degrees & let the app auto-rotate, I can't see the smudge (which I would if it were my eyes)..

Defective screen. Return it. The 'glue is drying' is BS.

Received my replacement iPhone 5 from Apple today & no dark smudge, so it was definitely defective (and not my eyes deceiving me!)..

No chips/dings so far as well. Fingers crossed
