I just noticed a slight pause (sometimes) when opening an app. Ill touch the app and nothing will happen for about a half second and then the app will open fluidly (no missing animation). I dont feel like I had this issue with my iPhone 4S running iOS5. Im currently using an unlocked iPhone 4S 32GB for AT&T. Anyone else notice this nehavior?

you have an iPhone 5??? try deleting the app if it's only one. also try a hard reset. I haven't noticed this problem?

Ha wishful thinking! Tried a hard reset. Didn't help but it's not overly noticeable. Just thought I'd ask...

I have it too, only every once in a while. The animations are all proper and everything runs normally, but it takes a half second or so for the app-opening animation to start.

Probably be fixed in a software update.

does it act the same way when opening every app? that might indicate a general memory leak. if there's more delay on some apps than others, that would be more in line with normal. some apps have a much smaller footprint than others. like opening photoshop takes longer than opening Preview.
