Im not sure if it only my macbook, but I notice a slight performance drop when I run on the battery v the AC.
I notice that my application load slower, folders open slower and expose and spaces response is also slow as well. is this normal?

Do you see this in your Utilities folder?

I also notice a performance decrease when running on battery. I have an aluminum MacBook 2.0Ghz. I just ran Software Update, and no SMC Firmware update came up. I also have no MacBook SMC Firmware Update app in my Utilities folder.
I always thought it was the processor underclocking to conserve battery. It gets really annoying though.
