hi, i just bought a nano (it's my first ipod). and i find that holding down the play button to turn it off is sometimes irresponsive. is there a certain that i should be doing it so that it works all the time?

like i hold it down, and even hear the click sound for when i press the button, but it just doesn't turn off.

Unfortunately I don't know the solution to your problem. However it happens to me too sometimes...I don't have the new nano, but it does it on other iPods. I was thinking that it has something to do with the fact that the play or pause button is activated:confused: Say if it is on play, you can't turn it off until it is on pause:confused: I don't know, but it does happen to me once in a while.
