Slightly off topic PC hardware help needed...

I know its a bit off topic but its just a quick question and I am sure someone could answer pretty easily so here it goes...

I am building a freind a PC and he has an Intel D915GUX motheboard and he just bought a Intel Celeron D 331 processor to go with it, as it is a Socket 775 processor and the board is socket 775 I assume it will be supported but alarmingly the compatible processor list supplied by intel doesn't show it as a compatible processor.....

I would really appreciate if someone could clarify whether or not it will work....
